Now held at the casino this event will be a DEALER DEALT event and will include a SUNDAY LUNCH with an entrance of £5 per player! 

- £5 entrance with fixed prizes of £500 in total (£1,000 from next season)

- Registartion until 1 pm (Eat then play starting at 2pm)

1st - £150 seat / £80 / NATIONAL FINAL SEAT

2ND - £100 Circus Seat / £40 / NATIONAL FINAL SEAT

DEALERS WANTED - Any players who are willing to table deal (if playing), or any spectators who would like, will get a free Sunday Lunch.  Either tell the registration team on the day or email [email protected] and you will be on their list already.

Please note that the casino holds the right to move players before the start of the event in the interest of moving table dealers sat on the same table!

We are now actively seeking new venues across Staffordshire to join the UK award winning Nuts Poker League.  The regional final for this area will be combined with the Cheshire league at the Circus Casino in Stoke, so you will benefit from being combined with a mature area meaning:

IMPORTANT INFORMATION - PAY AS YOU POST!

It should be noted that all new venues (plus many existing venues switching) are on a PAY-AND-WE'LL-POST system.  This simply means that until a venue makes payment for an event, the results will not be posted.  What does this mean for players and events they attend?

- If your venue has no results posted then please speak to them and not the franchisee or TNPL!

- Any venue that has N/A where the next event date is displayed on the venue list, if you choose too atend the event, this is at your own risk.  There are no guarantees that these events will EVER be recorded as a league event.

New guidnlines for players regarding the posting of results:

- Any venue that has no results posted 7 days after the evnt will have all future events deleted and N/A listed where the next event date is displayed.

- Failure to make payment (and therefore results entered) within 7 days of the future events being removed will result in the event being permanently deleted stating NLV (Not a league Venue).

Interested in running Nuts Poker League Events?

The Nuts Poker League are looking for players who want to run events at their local pub.  Below is an explanation to how it works and what is involved:

-          Venues purchase the equipment (no transport of equipment necessary)

-          As a TD you are responsible for the following:

Setting up the tables

Registering the players

Timing the blinds

Chipping up on the breaks

Marking the players finishing position

Enforcing the rules

Packing away the tables

Recording the results (done online with admin access to our website)

New venues (at a cost of £40 for the evening) will have a representative of the league come down and clearly explain and demonstarte how to run the event.  Provided the administration is done correctly, anyone who has a good understanding of live poker can easily run an event.

Typically, TD’s have a private arrangement with the venue usually receiving free drinks or £1 per player (typically at larger events).  Anyone who is interested in getting involved has no need to purchase any equipment and can easily play in the events they are running.  If you are going to play in the event, why not essentially get a free night out for doing something you enjoy.

If you want to get involved in running an event, speak to your local venue and get them to contact myself (Richard Edge) on 07846 033032 (Mon to Fri - 9 to 5 pm).  Further details will then be sent out to the venue where you can be up and running within 2 weeks.  All venues are charged at £2 per player paid weekly using internet BACs transfer or a paying in book.

As of the Spring 2011 season all Staffordshire venues will be part of the Stafforshire region!

- Please note that the Cheshire and staffordshire Regional Tournaments are combined!

Why should existing Nuts Poker League players join?

- Be updated on VENUE RESULTS as and when they are posted

                     Rules for Under 18's players (for ALL Nuts Poker League events)

Under 18's can participate provided the venue Licensee is fine with this. However they must not get involved with any cash staked games. Also if a player is going to be under 18's at the time of the Regional Final they receive only the basic 50 points regardless of their finishing position.

This rule is to prevent players who will not be 18 by the date of the next regional finals and therefore cannot legally take part taking qualifying places. Please ensure that your TD is both aware and implementing this. Any further questions please email [email protected].

RESULTS

Are your results updated the next day? No, then get on to your TD/agent to sort it out as they should be! If they are not doing it then please email me so that I can go the the people in question with complaints from players to ensure that this STOPS happenning as I am personally sick of it.

TOP 3 TOURNAMENT RESULTS - SUMMER 2011

 This seasons Top 3 consisted of 93 runners competing for £1,430 in cash with £750 worth of Circus Casino seats up for grabs.  Starting at the new time of 1 pm (which it will now always be) with a 10 pm finish, Richard Zolman from Wrexham was champion with Jason Athay (also from Wrexham) runner up.  Congratulations to the Top 8 finishers in qualifying through to the National Finals in November, with top 7 players also winning paid entry into the Circus Casino Stoke's monthly and quartery tournaments.  Two of the past three Stoke £100 monthly tournaments have been won by players sent through the Nuts Poker League!

CHESHIRE SPRING 2011 OVERALL LEAGUE CHAMPION

Congratulations to Adrian Russell from Crewe on becoming this seasons Overall League champion.  Finishing over 2,000 points clear of second place, and last seasojns champion, Charles Williams.  Lee Mellor finished 3rd a further 4,000 points behind second place.

CHESHIRE AND STAFFORDSHIRE REGIONAL FINAL RESULTS - SPRING 2011

This seasons regional final had a record 186 qualifiers.  123 players started the day playing for £2,115 with an additional side pot of £280.  The top 10 players qualified through to the National Finals in May.  After 6 1/2 plays, the final table was reached with National Final places secure, the state of play was as follows:

The final table saw the fortunes of players change dramatically with many of the short stacks making gains changing the dynamic of table.  Despite starting with one of the smaller stacks, John Broadhurst ploughed on to finally beat Simon Atkinson and claim first place, winning with £785 on the main pot.

CHESHIRE AND STAFFORDSHIRE HIGH ROLLERS - SPRING 2011

This seasons High Rollers tournament saw a record 31 players playing for £400 worth of prizes.  Points obtained from the Overall League determined starting stacks for this event, with pub champions also qualifying with 7,000 chips.

Congratulatiojns to Jez St Lawrence from Elton in beating Debbie Russell from Crewe heads-up to become this seasons champion.  As the winner, Jez will be playing in the Circus Casino Stoke's Anniversary Cup event with a definiate 300 players with 5 k added.  As ruuner-up, Debbie will play in the casino's monthly £100 tournament with £2K added.  Both players have also qualified through to the National Finals in May.
